Important Information about Procedures for Opening a New Account

The USA Patriot Act was signed into law to help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities. Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identities each person who opens an account.

What this means to you: when you open an account, we will ask each person on the account for their name, physical address, mailing address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify them. At the time of final signing, we will also ask to see each person’s driver’s license or other identifying documents as determined by Heritage Bank. Heritage Bank has the right to decline and/or refuse any new account.
